Amazon and NVIDIA Back NEURA Robotics' $1.4B Series C — Europe's Cognitive Robot Leader Targets Millions by 2030
Germany’s NEURA Robotics has closed a Series C financing of up to $1.4 billion — the largest ever raised by a full-stack robotics company — at a valuation of approximately $7 billion. The round brings together Amazon, NVIDIA, Qualcomm Technologies, Bosch, Schaeffler, the European Investment Bank, Tether, imec.xpand, Lingotto Horizon, and InterAlpen Partners.
The full capital is contingent on NEURA hitting undisclosed performance milestones.
What the Company Does
Founded in Metzingen, Germany in 2019, NEURA builds cognitive robots — arms, mobile platforms, and humanoids — alongside the software and AI infrastructure required to deploy them at scale. Its commercial orderbook and deployment pipeline exceed $1 billion.
The company’s architecture rests on a platform called the Neuraverse: a shared intelligence ecosystem where cognitive robots learn from each other across the fleet rather than training in isolation. The pitch is that every robot NEURA deploys makes every other one smarter.
Industrial partnerships are already in place. Bosch signed a collaboration to develop humanoid software in January 2026. Dassault Systèmes joined in April to close the sim-to-real gap. Kawasaki, Delta Electronics, and Amazon are each strategic partners.
Where the Capital Goes
NEURA has outlined four uses for the new funding:
- Serial production toward multi-million robot units by 2030, with manufacturing scaling across Germany and India
- NEURA Gyms — physical facilities described as real-world training environments where cognitive robots learn on real objects, not simulated ones
- Neuraverse expansion — broader rollout of the shared intelligence platform
- Next-generation Physical AI research and development
Amazon’s VP of engineering put the strategic logic plainly: the company brings “Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, AI purpose-built chips like AWS Trainium” to the table. NVIDIA adds the compute stack it has used to anchor physical AI deals at Figure, 1X, and Apptronik.
Market Context
Robotics companies have raised $55.8 billion in 2026 through mid-June, nearly double the previous annual record, according to Dealroom. The majority of that has gone to US and Chinese companies. NEURA’s Series C is the first round of this size to be anchored by a European physical AI company — and the EIB’s participation signals that sovereign capital is now actively competing for access to the category.
NEURA is building into a market that already has well-funded US competitors: Figure, 1X, Boston Dynamics (now part of Hyundai), and Bezos-backed Prometheus. The differentiation NEURA is betting on is the Neuraverse’s shared learning — a network-effect moat that its competitors, operating on siloed training, would need years to replicate.
